After reading your message,I feel that you have great talents but lack of direction.You have been looking for solution.But the fact is that you have the solution.Here is the thing to evaluate within yourself.You said you have 10 years of marketing experience and are consistently looking to get a job.Why not use your marketing skills towards having your own home based business,use your talents in your own business and make profits rather then give your talents for someonelse.I have being teaching people to help in establishing their own home based businesses to get them on the track.Think again.
Besides companies donot want to pay a good salary to more qualified people because they can find less talented people to do all kind of job with less pay.Why you want to degrade yourself to a low job when you have a great talent and experience to use for yourself and profit.If this sound something interesting,drop me a line to get more information at ppandya_1@yahoo.com

Even if you are applying for marketing jobs and have that much experience, think about applying for some advertising/ relations positions as well. Sometimes those two areas go hand in hand, and sometimes even the duties are the same. Your experience will get you plenty of $$$ when you find the right fit, good luck!

I would seek out a position with multi national firms…it sounds like you’ve interviewed with domestic firms and from what I’ve read, the UK is becoming very xenophobic and anti-immigrant at least for domestic consumption.
Seek a firm that will value your international abilities…

well if they are telling you that you are overqualified shoot for the major companies…ya know increase your standardsand what you are looking for

Like the guy said – you are too overqualified and your accent is too strong.
Try to work on those problems first.
Go to a speech therapist in the meantime.
Otherwise, dumb down your CV. You can say you have experience, but don’t say ten years unless the ask. Just say a couple years. (Ten Years sounds like a veteran, while most companies aren’t looking to “retrain” someone to fit their company profile.)
You might also want to work on your appearance… sometimes pushing the polite, ladylike behavior and nanny look in London really helps.
