You can use your eBook for much more than just a stand-alone product. One of the possibilities is using it as a free bonus to accompany one of your products or services. When your selling an affiliate product you could use your eBook as a bonus to the package.
In the world of marketing, we know that giving away bonuses with your products can act as a major incentive for people to buy it. Many people will load on the bonuses, making some people purchase that product for the bonuses attached to it.
By creating an eBook, you are not only creating another product but a valuable bonus that you can now include in a variety of packages. When building your packages you should always be asking yourself how you can add value to that package. Adding an eBook is one step in the right direction because that eBook has established value attached to it, so by adding it as a bonus, your package just increases in its perceived value.
That value that you add to you package will also help you create the price point. When I am creating a product I look at how much I could sell each individual item to get the price point.
Let me give a quick reasoning for that because there’s so many times I go on a website and I’ll see somebody offering a product, and they’ve got all these bonuses, then they just slap a value on there like $297 for this particular bonus.
When looking at the bonus I start thinking, “I wouldn’t pay that much for just that bonus.” That is the question you should sit back and ask yourself – How much would I pay for that particular bonus by itself? Whatever figure you come up with is the value you should use when selling you package because just by slapping on a random figure isn’t going to establish value.
You want to make sure that the price point that you put for that particular bonus correlates with what the market would pay. It’s very important because otherwise people coming to your website or people buying that package are going to discount the actual value of that bonus, and it loses value tremendously in the eyes of the person purchasing.
But creating an eBook still provides you the opportunity to create a valuable bonus that you can include with your other products or services.
You can take this bonus one step further by actually including the resell rights to your eBook as a bonus.
I’ll use my own business as another example, only because I know my business so well. Creativity is what I talk a lot on, so I would be interested in possibly purchasing the reprint or resell rights of someone else’s products on creativity.
I want you to think about that for a second. Why would I be interested in that? Because it saves me a lot of time. He or she may have created great content that is valuable that is on the topic that I talk about. Why reinvent the wheel? Why not partner up and create a relationship that both of us win?
He or she was able to leverage their material, I’m able to get material so that I don’t have to reinvent the wheel, and the same principle applies to you and your business.
When you create an eBook, there are going to be other businesses or services that would be interested in the exact same content for their particular email list or their particular customers.
That provides you, now, a platform to be able to offer the reprint rights or the resell rights as a bonus to those people who would be interested in providing that eBook to their customers or selling that eBook to their customers.
You have now just increased the value of the bonus.
You can easily increase the value of a bonus to an affiliate promotion or your own product by just following these steps.
Ideas will come to you when you explore the possibilities of creativity!
